X-MIND® DC – Intraoral X-ray Generator

The X-MIND® DC unit is equipped with a Toshiba DG-073B-DC generator featuring a dual tungsten anode (intensities of 4 mA and 8 mA) and capable of producing a constant voltage of 60 kV or 70 kV.

The new X-MIND® DC generator operates at high frequency and constant potential, resulting in high-quality X-ray emissions.
Selection of radiographic voltage (60 or 70 kV) and tube current (4 or 8 mA) allows for precise intraoral diagnostics and up to 35% reduction in exposure time compared to conventional single-phase devices.

The timer can control two DC generators.
Extremely short exposure times (minimum 0.02 seconds) make it ideal for digital radiography using CCD, CMOS sensors, or phosphor plates — with radiation doses reduced by up to 50% compared to traditional E-speed films.

The control panel displays exposure times suitable for digital imaging with X-MIND® DC (ranging from 0.02 to 3.2 seconds across 23 steps).
When using F-speed films, radiation dose is reduced by up to 60% compared to D-speed films.

The X-MIND® generator tubes are positioned at the rear of the monoblock, increasing patient protection by extending the focal spot-to-skin distance by 50% compared to traditional configurations.

The system ensures maximum safety for both operator and patient:

  • Scattered radiation is filtered (2 mm Al equivalent at 70 kV)

  • Leakage radiation is controlled (< 0.25 mGy/h at 1 meter from the focal spot)

The exposure button, equipped with a safety system, along with a microprocessor-controlled timer, ensures consistent dose delivery to the patient.

X-MIND® DC Timer Features

  • Microprocessor-controlled

  • Exposure times can be adjusted and programmed

  • A single button allows immediate switch between conventional intraoral radiography and digital imaging

  • Pre-programmed buttons for specific image types

The X-MIND® DC exposure times are optimized for use with digital sensors.
The generator is fully compatible with all digital imaging systems.
